CLU honors Kevin Wilmott of Simi Valley

Kevin Wilmott of Simi Valley is one of several students who were honored for their academic achievements at California Lutheran University.

Wilmott, a criminal justice and political science major, received the Provost’s Award for Academic Excellence as a valedictorian of the Class of 2014. He is also one of 24 new members of the Scholastic Honor Society, the highest academic honor at CLU. Upper division students qualify for the society by maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.9 on a 4.0 scale. No more than 5 percent of the students from each graduating class are invited to participate. Wilmott worked for the Office of Campus Safety, served as a peer adviser and was a member of the All University Hearing Board and criminal justice and political science honor societies. He interned with the U.S. Secret Service and is a police officer trainee.
