Paige Piper Receives CLU Scholarship

Paige Piper of Valencia received a scholarship from the California Lutheran University Community Leaders Association.

Piper, a marketing communication major, received $2,000. She is active in the Associated Students of CLU Government and began volunteering at 13 through the Assistance League.

CLA awarded eight scholarships totaling $13,750. The awards are given in recognition of the students’ community service, leadership potential and academic achievement.

The Community Leaders Association was founded in 1963 to stimulate the community's interest in the university’s academic, athletic and cultural programs. Members organize fundraising and social events throughout the year to support academic departments and student scholarships. The organization has provided more than $1.8 million through the years.

CLU is a selective university located in Thousand Oaks, with centers in Oxnard, Woodland Hills and Santa Maria for graduate courses and its Adult Degree Evening Program. With an enrollment of 4,200 students, CLU offers undergraduate and graduate programs within the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Management and Graduate School of Education.
